Donating to the Thames Rowing Club Charitable Trust

It's now even easier to donate to the Thames Rowing Club Charitable Trust.

The Trust has registered with MyDonate, a donation service run by BT which is free to both the donor and the Trust. Every penny you donate will go directly to the Trust - and if you are a UK taxpayer you can Gift Aid your donation, making it go even further.

You can pay by credit/debit card and the whole process takes less than two minutes. Visit the Trust' page here:

For those who don't know, the Thames Rowing Club Charitable Trust is, as the name suggests, a "sister" organisation to Thames Rowing Club. The main objects of the charity are the support of amateur rowing nationwide.

TRCCT has given particular support to charitable activities associated with Thames Rowing Club (e.g. contributions to equipment purchase and maintenance and to regatta, training and coaching expenses). The Trust has supported other bodies including London Youth Rowing and Self Esteem Through Sport.

In 2010, the Trustees set up a new charitable fund, called “the 150th Anniversary Development Appeal Fund”. Money given to this fund will be primarily ear-marked for use for charitable purposes associated with Thames Rowing Club. The fund is intended to help to safeguard the Club’s core rowing activity, but an incidental benefit of it will be to make it easier for the Club to apply its own income more directly towards the clubhouse development scheme which is currently underway.

Donations received through MyDonate will be assumed to be intended for the 150th Anniversary Development Appeal Fund unless the donor contacts the Trustees to state otherwise.
